If we have a negative attitude, we are resentful, uncooperative, and cynical in our thinking and behavior.

With a consistently negative attitude, self-esteem and confidence diminish, we make errors in our decisions, productivity sharply declines, and challenges become too great to overcome or learn from.

Enemies of positive attitude:

  • Blame: Blaming others makes it difficult to have a positive attitude and gives control of our situation to other people and circumstances.
  • Fatigue: Exhaustion can strip hopeful people of their positive perspectives.
  • Unevaluated experience: Practice makes permanent but not always perfect. If practicing is not achieving the results and we do not have an honest and caring evaluation of our practices, we never make progress. Without progress, hope and positivity will fade.
