Research shows that people who view the world with compassion are generally happier.  People who practice compassion produce 23 percent less cortisol, the “stress hormone,” and 100 percent more DHEA, the hormone that counteracts the aging process.  Compassionate people have a higher degree of self-satisfaction and inner peace and are more able to give and receive.  They also have high-quality relationships and the ability to create cultures of loyalty.

“A kind gesture can reach a wound that only compassion can heal.” (Steve Maraboli)
