Dependability: Reliable and worthy of trust
Dependable people are characterized by stability and reliability. They are trustworthy, committed, and consistent.
Being trustworthy and consistent + honoring commitments = dependability
Dependability requires:
- Good habits – dependable people have productive habits and consistently make sound decisions.
- Keeping promises – Dependable people learn to avoid making promises or agreements they cannot keep.
- Punctuality – Studies show that 1 in 5 people are habitually late; however, punctuality is one of the essential traits of a dependable person.
“The greatest ability is dependability.” – Bob Jones
