People who lack determination give up easily. They fold under pressure and can be easily distracted. They lack discipline and are not persistent.
Determination is one of the essential qualities of a satisfying and successful life. Everyone faces challenges and obstacles; only the determined push through and overcome.
Enemies of determination:
- DISCOURAGEMENT. Goals worth reaching are not easily achieved. Setbacks and obstacles are normal, but holding on to discouragement and feelings of failure will kill determination.
- LACK OF CONFIDENT ENCOURAGEMENT. Determination is like a plant. It has to be watered to thrive. If you do not surround yourself with people who believe in and encourage you, you will find it more difficult to persevere.
- EARLY CELEBRATION. Determined people delay gratification and celebrate when the win is secured.
