Focus is an essential tool in life. The things we focus on influence how we grow and develop. Concentrating on many things causes busyness, over commitment, and chasing after things that do not help us reach our goals. We do this because we do not want to let others down, and we want others to think well of us. We become addicted to praise. The antidote is to practice saying “no” with grace and kindness. Socrates said, “Beware the barrenness of a busy life.” Learning to focus on your passion and strengths will guide you to a purposeful and fulfilling life. -Paul Weaver
