Being cheerful and optimistic + choosing to be grateful and content = joyfulness

When we are joyful, we have a positive outlook on life, which helps us handle roadblocks.

Joyfulness requires:

  • Ownership:  We will lack joy if we believe it is someone else’s responsibility to make us happy.
  • Gratitude: A grateful attitude changes the way we see the world.
  • Mindfulness: Mindfulness is being able to experience the present moment without reliving the past or worrying about the future.
