People without restraint give full rein to their emotions. They permit themselves to express anything they think or feel. Those without restraint take little time to consider their actions and the consequences.
Those who lack restraint often add clutter to their lives, add unneeded and unwanted chaos, and seem unthinking.
Enemies of Restraint:
- IMMEDIATE GRATIFICATION: Having a difficult time waiting or sticking to a plan.
- EXHAUSTION: Showing restraint is more difficult when we live without properly caring for our needs for rest, relaxation, and refueling.
- UNRESOLVED ANGER: Carrying simmering anger over unresolved issues from the past will make showing restraint more difficult in the present.
