Boldness: Confidence and courage to do what is right regardless of the circumstances or others’ opinions
Courage and determination to do the right thing + confidence to take risks and be proactive = boldness
People who are bold will be known for bravery, courage, and standing for what is right even if it is unpopular.
Boldness requires:
- Value. You value living and influencing over simply existing.
- Composure. Having enough self-confidence to take risks and to be composed in the face of ridicule and rejection.
- Proactivity. Followers react and respond, but bold leaders initiate and are bent toward action.
