People who are not generous appear greedy, possessive, and selfish.  They are more concerned with their own interests than the needs of others.

Enemies of generosity:

  • Ungratefulness – When we are ungrateful for what we have, we will not be willing to share our resources with others.  Instead, we will be greedy.
  • Excess – Comparison, jealousy, and envy thrive when we want more than we need.
  • Fear – When we focus on what we do not have, fear of not having enough discourages us from giving.

A generous lifestyle reduces stress, supports physical health, enhances purpose, and fights depression.
