Likability: Being agreeable and approachable.
being approachable and willing to listen + providing encouragement and support for others = likability
Likable people are pleasant, and others are attracted by their sympathy and empathy. They are endearing, genial, and engaging.
Likability requires:
- HUMOR – We want to spend time with the people who make us laugh. The power of a simple smile is amazing.
- ENCOURAGING WORDS – People who feel comfortable complimenting others are more likable. People need to be valued, and a few well-chosen, encouraging words show others that you value them.
- HUMBLE LISTENING – Genuine humility is very appealing. When you humbly listen to another person, you become more approachable.
“The three pillars of a personal brand are trustworthiness, likability, and competence: TLC.” – Guy Kawasaki
