Thoroughness: Being attentive to accuracy and detail.

Thorough people are characterized by showing concern and care for the details.  They are attentive, mindful, timely, and accurate.

Paying Attention to Details + Checking Work to Ensure Accuracy= THOROUGHNESS

Thoroughness Requires:

1. Commitment to Excellence: Thoroughness requires striving for excellence and giving our attention and best efforts to the details, accuracy, and completion.
2. Intrinsic Motivation:  A few details may be able to slip without others realizing that delays could have been avoided or that there could have been better results.  However, being thorough means we are self-motivated to put forth the effort needed to achieve the best result.
3. Tangible Standards- Goals and tangible standards give significance to our thoroughness.  Our objectives guide how we check progress and help us to recognize when midcourse corrections are necessary.
