Stewardship is usually thought of in terms of finances. Money is certainly a major factor; however, I believe that using our gifts and talents to the fullest is the ultimate demonstration of good stewardship. We can use our gifts to help others intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually by lending a hand or by listening to their struggles. By stewarding our money well, we have the opportunity to support others through financial giving.
We have a limited number of days to use these talents and resources, and we should give generously to be good stewards. Poor stewardship starts with a scarcity mindset. This comes from the fear that if we give anything away to help someone else, we might not have enough for ourselves. This mindset leads to a lifestyle of self-fulfillment, which ultimately leads to a barren life.
Proverbs 11:25 says, “A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.” We were created to be good stewards. Spend your time and money wisely so that you can be generous with others.
