Humility means having an accurate view of yourself. People with humility are characterized by modesty and meekness. They are unassuming and willing to yield appropriately, yet they respectfully stand firm when necessary.

Being unassuming & modest + Welcoming the help of others = HUMILITY

Humility Requires:

  • ACCEPTING YOUR LIMITATIONS. No one can be the best at everything because we all have limitations.  Humble people accept their limitations and welcome the input and talents of others.
  • CURIOSITY. When our circle of connections is small, we tend to have an unrealistic view of ourselves and the world. But when we are curious about our surroundings, we learn to appreciate the value of other people and experiences.
  • BALANCE. Humility requires a balance between our professional will and our personal humility. Leaders must be committed to long-term results without being boastful.

“Humility is not thinking less of yourself, it’s thinking of yourself less often.”- C.S. Lewis
