People who lack resourcefulness cannot think outside the box and lack creativity.  They are easily discouraged by unexpected situations, and when resources are scarce, their enthusiasm fades.

Enemies of resourcefulness:

  • Immediate Gratification – Patience is necessary to see new solutions and ideas come to life.
  • Laziness – Laziness leads people to look for the easiest solution, but if a solution is not easy, some people quit and move on.
  • Social-Conditioning – Causes people to react to situations based on the generally accepted response.  However, relying on old methods and processes restricts the development of innovative ideas.

“It’s not resources but resourcefulness that ultimately makes the difference.”   – Tony Robbins, Author & Business Strategist
