Focus: Concentrated attention and energy.
Focused people are intentional, centered, and consistent. They concentrate on their targets and goals and maintain appropriate engagement to accomplish their tasks.
Concentrating on the goal or task + avoiding distractions = focus
Focus requires:
- REMOVING DISTRACTIONS – Focus begins with eliminating the things that pull our minds away from the task at hand.
- TRAINING OUR BRAINS – We need to train our brains to focus on one thing in order to do it well.
- ALLOCATING RESOURCES – We may try to be focused, but if the way we use our resources does not support it, we will struggle to stay on target.
