Boldness requires VALUE.  Do you value living and influencing over simply existing?  If you do not value contribution over convenience and comfort, you will never acquire boldness.  A bold leader will ask the basic question, “If not me, then who?”

Boldness requires COMPOSURE.  Do you have enough self-confidence to take risks and be composed in the face of possible ridicule and rejection?  Bold people do not depend on external validation because their spirit is poised and settled.

Boldness requires PROACTIVITY.  Followers react and respond, but bold leaders initiate and are bent toward action.  Leaders see a problem and initiate discussions and solutions.  Boldness requires being proactive and appropriately aggressive.
