Ability to guide others’ actions without force + proving to be reliable and trustworthy = influence
Influence is, perhaps, the most integral part of effective leadership. If you are not positively influencing the people around you, you are not leading them. Do you know what they call a leader without any followers? Just a person taking a walk. Leading does not mean that you are an authoritarian figure forcing people to heed your “influence” out of fear. A true leader is a person whom others want to freely follow as they have proven themselves to be a generous, reliable individual with strong personal character.
When influential leadership is attained, success will soon follow!
